Keith Houghton is a Principal and Chief Academic Strategist of HERG and Professor Emeritus at the Australian National University (ANU).
His decade long tenure at the ANU involved eight years as Dean of the College of Business and Economics including a period as member of the University Council. During his time at ANU he remained highly research-active and led successes in both ARC Discovery and Linkage programs. He is a Fellow of CPA Australia and the Institute of Accountants in Australia.
He has written and published widely in international journals (including the Journal of Accounting Research) domestic scholarly journals (including Abacus) and served on a number of Editorial Boards (including the Accounting Review).
Professor Houghton has been a speaker at conferences domestically and abroad on issues of higher education and productivity. Professor Houghton is a graduate of the University of Western Australia, Melbourne University and the London School of Economics. Professor Houghton’s research often includes quantitative analysis using a variety of econometric techniques.
